Then and Now
A Look at Our Building's History
1890
Our building was once home to a hardware store owned by George O. Bailey, a prominent businessman, Civil War veteran, and former mayor of Belfast from 1897 to 1898. Bailey served as a captain in the 26th Maine Infantry Regiment and fought in several major battles, including the Battle of Gettysburg. Today, his legacy lives on in the historic building that houses our restaurant.
2010
Today, Delvino's offers a modern, upscale dining experience in the heart of Belfast, Maine. We take pride in preserving the building's rich history while providing a contemporary atmosphere that reflects our commitment to excellent food and service.
